Saint Michael Stone from Gargano, Monte Sant'Angelo

Sometimes called Relic Stones of Saint Michael the Archangel. It is an original white stone from the heavenly grotto at the Shrine of Saint Michael the Archangel in Monte Sant’Angelo, Gargano, Italy – the oldest shrine in Western Europe dedicated to this archangel. It is housed in the reliquary with the cross on the back and the inscription “Pietra del Santuario S. Michelle” (Stone from the Sanctuary of St. Michael) above and “Michael” underneath.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a relic – relics are reserved for saints (relic usually consists of the physical remains of a saint or the personal effects of the saint).
